A must-see! Figure + OpenAI are working on the next level of humanoid robots, conversing with humans, using end-to-end neural networks:

→ OpenAI provides visual reasoning & language understanding

Two weeks ago, they just announced that Figure and OpenAI are joining forces to push the boundaries of robot learning. Together they are developing the next generation of AI models for humanoid robots.

This video here shows end-to-end neural networks (no teleop). It was also filmed at 1.0x speed and shot continuously. As you can see from the video, there has been a dramatic acceleration of the robot, they’re starting to approach human speed.

The goal is to train a world model to operate humanoid robots at the billion unit level.
